WARFRONT STUDIO // MONDAY MEETING
BOXES, PRODUCTION, BRITISH INFANTRY & FREE MINIATURES!
US Infantry Packaging, Western PMC Production, British Infantry Masters, Free Samples & Snatch & Grab Playtesting!
Welcome back to another Warfront Studio update!
This week's update is going to be a little more text-heavy than usual. We've got plenty happening behind the scenes, and while we haven't got a mountain of shiny new photographs to show you just yet, we've got some important news about all three of our hard-plastic infantry kits.
We've finally finished our US Infantry box artwork, the Western PMC files have received their final approval, our British Infantry masters are heading to the painter, and we've got some free miniatures available for you to get your hands on.
Oh, and we're also getting ready to hand over the very first draft of our Snatch & Grab rules to our playtesters.
So, grab a brew, get comfortable, and let's get straight into it!
01 // US INFANTRY
THE BOX ART IS FINISHED AND OFF TO PRINT!
First up, we've got some excellent news regarding our Modern US Infantry.
The box artwork is officially finished, approved, and now with the printers!
Now, those of you who have been following Warfront for a while will know that we've taken a fairly minimalist approach to our packaging.
And there's a very good reason for that.
We're a small company, and we'd much rather spend our money producing better miniatures than creating expensive cardboard boxes that will inevitably end up in a cupboard, recycling bin, or underneath an increasingly worrying pile of unpainted plastic.
That doesn't mean we don't care about presentation, of course.
We still want our products to look professional, particularly as we begin expanding into independent retailers, and we're genuinely pleased with how the finished packaging has come together.

However, there's one rather important thing we need to address.
What Does This Mean for Pre-Orders?
Well, we've made a decision.
We're Not Going to Make You Wait for a Cardboard Box!
With our plastic frames ready and the packaging now being printed, we've decided that the sensible thing to do is prioritise getting the actual miniatures into your hands.
That means customers who have already pre-ordered our US Infantry will receive their miniatures without the finished retail box artwork.
You'll still receive the complete miniature kit you've ordered, including all 35 hard-plastic miniatures. The only difference is the presentation.
By doing this, we can expedite fulfilment rather than holding everyone's orders back while we wait for the printed boxes to arrive.
Once we move into regular retail fulfilment, our US Infantry kits will be supplied with their finished printed packaging.
We've thought about this quite carefully, and ultimately, we think most of you would much rather be building and painting your miniatures than waiting for us to finish organising cardboard.
We certainly would!
As always, we appreciate everyone's patience throughout this process. We're incredibly excited to finally start getting these miniatures into your hands.

PRODUCTION APPROVAL IS COMPLETE!
Moving on to our Western PMC Infantry, we've reached another important milestone!
All Western PMC Production Files Have Now Been Approved!
This is excellent news, and it means that the design and approval stage of the project is now complete.

At this point, we're simply waiting for confirmation of the production schedule and shipping date from our manufacturing partner in Poland.
Once we have those dates confirmed, we'll naturally share them with you.
We're particularly excited about getting our Western PMC kit into production, because it offers something quite different from our US Infantry.
With a range of modern weapons, equipment and customisation options, the PMC kit should give you plenty of opportunities to create your own private military forces, contractors, special operations teams, or whatever else your imagination can come up with.
And of course, the modular nature of our kits means we're looking forward to seeing what people manage to create by combining components from different Warfront releases.
We've Also Learned a Rather Important Lesson...
Now, you'll remember that earlier in this update we mentioned finally getting our US Infantry packaging finished.
Well, apparently, you're supposed to design the cardboard box before you need to ship the miniatures.
Who knew?
In all seriousness, we've learned quite a lot from our first production run, and one of the most important lessons has been making sure that everything surrounding the product is ready well before the miniatures themselves arrive.
With that in mind, we'll be getting the Western PMC packaging designed imminently.
The objective is simple: have the artwork finished, approved, and printed before the plastic frames arrive, so we can get everything out to customers without an unnecessary delay.
We're certainly not going to pretend that every stage of launching our first three hard-plastic kits has gone perfectly smoothly.
It hasn't.
But we're learning, improving our processes, and getting better with every release.
And ultimately, that's how we intend to build Warfront into a company that can consistently deliver excellent miniatures.

THE FINAL MASTERS ARE OFF TO THE PAINTER!
Now, onto the British Infantry!
Following last week's announcement regarding the changes we'd made to the kit, we're pleased to confirm that we've reached another important milestone.
Our final British Infantry masters have been submitted and are on their way to our painter, Andy Singleton!
As we mentioned in our previous update, we've selected 15 miniatures to be painted, split into three sets of five models.
These have been specifically assembled to showcase the range of weapons, head options, equipment and poses available across the kit.
We've got standard helmets, scrimmed helmets, berets, gas masks, specialist weapons, backpacks and plenty more for Andy to get stuck into.
And, yes, we're particularly looking forward to seeing them painted in British MTP camouflage.

If you've seen Andy's previous work on our US Infantry and Western PMC miniatures, you'll already know why we're so excited.
There's something rather satisfying about finally seeing a miniature that you've spent months developing brought to life with a proper paint job.
And we really can't wait to share the results with you.
A Quick Word About the Changes
We also wanted to take another opportunity to thank everyone who has provided feedback throughout the development of our British Infantry.
As we've mentioned previously, we've made a considerable number of improvements to the kit based directly on your suggestions.
Some have involved relatively minor details, while others have required us to revisit weapons, equipment and poses that we originally thought were finished.
Those changes have taken a little additional time, and as we announced last week, our British Infantry pre-orders will now open on 15th November.
But do you know what?
We're genuinely delighted that we've made those changes.
We believe the finished kit is considerably better for it, and we're looking forward to finally showing you the painted results.
British Infantry Pre-Orders Open 15th November!
And remember, if you've already purchased one of our British Infantry Early Access Passes, you'll be getting access ahead of the general public, along with your exclusive Early Access pricing.

There's still plenty to do before the kit reaches production, but getting these masters into the painter's hands is another important step in the right direction.

WHO WANTS SOME FREE MINIATURES?
Right, now for something a little more exciting!
Last week, we mentioned that we'd accumulated quite a collection of British Infantry development masters throughout the design process.
Some of these are earlier versions of the miniatures, featuring different proportions, weapons and equipment that have subsequently been revised or replaced.
Rather than having them sit around gathering dust, we decided that we'd much rather get them into the hands of the community.
Well, we've got some good news!
Every Requested British Infantry Sample Has Now Been Dispatched!
As of this morning, everyone who contacted us requesting one of our British Infantry development samples has now had a miniature put in the post!
We're looking forward to hearing what you think when they arrive.
Remember, some of these are earlier development miniatures, and they're not intended to be definitive representations of the finished plastic kit.
But they're still a great opportunity to get a closer look at our sculpting, compare models against your existing collections, and see how our approach to modern 28mm miniatures is developing.
And if you missed out on requesting one directly from us, don't worry.
We've now added free British Infantry samples to our webstore!
Option 1 – Free Physical British Infantry Miniature
If you'd like to get your hands on a physical British Infantry miniature, you can now order one directly from our website.
The miniature itself is completely free.
All you need to pay is the postage, calculated at checkout.
This is ideal if you don't own a 3D printer, or if you'd simply prefer to examine a physical miniature before committing to one of our full hard-plastic kits.
We know that scale compatibility is incredibly important to modern wargamers, particularly when you're adding new units to an existing collection.
And we think the best way to demonstrate what we're making is to let you see a miniature for yourself.

Of course, we know that an awful lot of our customers also own resin 3D printers.
And if you've already got a printer sitting on your desk, you probably don't want to pay for postage when you could simply print a sample yourself.
So we've got you covered!
Our British Infantry sample STL is also available to download completely free of charge.
Simply add the free STL to your basket, complete checkout, and you'll receive your download link.
The file is provided unsupported, allowing you to prepare it for printing using your preferred slicer and support settings.
It's a great opportunity to compare our miniatures against the models you already own, see how the proportions work together, and get an idea of the level of detail we're aiming for.
And naturally, we'd love to see your printed and painted results!

Whether you're helping us refine a sculpt, suggesting additional equipment, or simply telling us that something doesn't look quite right, your feedback is genuinely useful.
And if giving away a few miniatures helps more people get involved, then that's absolutely fine by us!
05 // SNATCH & GRAB
THE FIRST PLAYTEST RULES ARE COMING THIS WEEK!
Finally, before we wrap up, we've got another update on something we've been developing quietly in the background.
Snatch & Grab is getting ready for its first round of community playtesting!
For those of you who haven't been following along, Snatch & Grab is our upcoming modern warfare tabletop ruleset, designed around fast, objective-driven engagements where positioning, decision-making and completing your mission matter just as much as eliminating the opposition.
We've been working on the rules for a while now, and we're finally approaching the point where we can start putting them into other people's hands.
Over the coming days, everyone who has registered to help us playtest the game will be invited into a dedicated Facebook group.
This will give us somewhere to share updates, answer questions, discuss mechanics, and most importantly, collect your feedback.
Our Playtesters Will Receive the First Draft of the Rules This Week!
And when we say the first draft, we really do mean the first draft.
There will be things that need tweaking, mechanics that need refining, and almost certainly a few ideas that seemed absolutely brilliant when we wrote them down but turn out to be completely ridiculous when somebody actually puts miniatures on a table.
That's precisely why we're doing this.
We're not interested in writing a ruleset behind closed doors, deciding that it's perfect, and then discovering six months later that we've overlooked something obvious.
We want people to play it, break it, challenge it, and tell us exactly what they think.
What works? What doesn't? What's fun? What's frustrating? And what makes you want to throw the rulebook out of the nearest window?
We want to hear all of it.
After all, there's very little point in creating a tabletop game that nobody actually enjoys playing.
And remember, while Snatch & Grab is being developed alongside our own range of modern military miniatures, we're designing it to work with modern wargaming miniatures in general.
You won't need to own Warfront miniatures to get involved.
This first round of playtesting is about getting the foundations right, and we're genuinely excited to see what the community makes of it.
Excited? Absolutely.
Slightly terrified of what you're all going to do to our carefully written rules?
Also absolutely.
But that's all part of the fun!
AND THAT'S A WRAP!
Well, that's another busy week here at Warfront Studio!
Our US Infantry packaging has finally gone off to the printers, the Western PMC production files have received their approval, and our British Infantry masters are heading off to Andy Singleton for painting.
We've also dispatched the British Infantry development samples requested by the community, made free physical samples and STL downloads available through our webstore, and we're preparing to put the first draft of Snatch & Grab into the hands of our playtesters.
So, while we might not have had quite as many photographs to share this week, there's certainly no shortage of things happening behind the scenes!
We're learning an enormous amount as we work through the production and release of our first three hard-plastic kits.
Not everything has gone perfectly. There have been delays, unexpected challenges, and quite a few lessons we'd probably rather have learned the easy way.
But we're making progress, we're improving, and most importantly, we're continuing to turn the things we've been talking about into actual products.
As always, thank you to everyone who has supported Warfront, placed an order, shared our posts, offered feedback, or simply followed along as we build the company.
We're a small studio with some pretty big ambitions, and your support genuinely makes all the difference.
See you at the next Monday Meeting!
Thanks, as always, for being part of the journey.
Andy
