Monday Meeting: Early Access, Rules and US Sample Frames

7 September 2026

Warfront Studio Weekly Update

This week’s Monday Meeting covers a major change to Warfront Early Access, the first teaser for our upcoming rules, the latest position on British Infantry and an important production milestone for the US Infantry kit.

There’s plenty happening behind the scenes, so let’s get into it.

EARLY ACCESS UPDATE

The £1 Early Access Pass Is Going

We’re changing how Early Access will work for future Warfront releases.

Previously, customers could purchase Early Access for £1, with that payment then credited against their subsequent order. Although the system worked, it introduced an unnecessary extra step for customers who simply wanted the opportunity to order first.

We’re therefore removing the £1 Early Access entry fee.

In its place, we’re developing a new system designed to ensure that Warfront mailing-list subscribers receive access to upcoming releases before the general public.

The exact process is still being finalised, but the objective is straightforward:

Newsletter subscribers should be able to access new Warfront releases early without purchasing a separate pass.

We’ll explain exactly how the new system works before the next pre-order campaign begins.

If you want to receive future Early Access announcements, make sure you’re subscribed to the Warfront mailing list at the bottom of our website.

RULES DEVELOPMENT

Warfront Rules Are on the Way

Development of our dedicated rules system continues behind the scenes.

Our aim is to create a game centred on fast, intense small-unit engagements, where completing objectives and telling memorable battlefield stories matter just as much as eliminating the opposing force.

There is still work to complete before we’re ready to discuss individual mechanics, but development is progressing and we hope to reveal considerably more over the coming months.

For now, consider this your first official teaser.

We’ve already received a number of messages from people interested in joining the playtesting group. If you’ve contacted us previously, rest assured that we have your details and will be in touch as testing approaches.

If you’d like to volunteer as a playtester, email andy@warfront.co.uk with the subject line PLAYTESTING. Please include a little information about your wargaming experience, the games you currently play and the gaming group or community you would be testing with.

We’ll publish a dedicated development update when the rules are ready to be shown properly.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

British Infantry

We had hoped to bring you another British Infantry update today, but we’re still waiting for the final information and images needed to put everything together.

Rather than publish an incomplete update, or fill the page with information you’ve already seen, we’ve decided to give it a little more time.

We’re hopeful that we’ll have something new to share later this week.

Thank you for your patience. We know how much interest there is in the British kit, and we want every development update to contain something genuinely worth showing you.

PRODUCTION MILESTONE

US Infantry Sample Frames Are Coming

The first US Infantry sample frames are now on their way to us from our production partner.

These frames will allow us to inspect the results of the tooling process, test the fit and quality of the components and begin assembling and painting the first production samples.

Reaching this stage represents another major milestone for Warfront and brings the US Infantry kit a significant step closer to release.

Once the frames arrive, we’ll inspect them carefully and share a much closer look at the physical kit.

We’re also drawing up a list of reviewers, YouTubers, influencers, gaming clubs and retailers who we would like to receive sample frames.

We want to place the miniatures in front of people who will assemble them, paint them, compare them with other ranges and provide honest feedback. We’re particularly interested in supporting smaller and growing creators who might otherwise be overlooked.

Thank you to everyone who has already suggested a creator or channel. If there’s somebody you think should receive a sample frame, let us know in the comments.

More Later This Week

That concludes this week’s Monday Meeting, but there should be more news to come shortly.

We hope to have the next British Infantry update ready later this week, and we’ll share more information about the US sample frames once they arrive and we’ve had the opportunity to inspect them.

Thank you, as always, for following Warfront and supporting the development of our growing range.

See you on the battlefield,

Andy
