Warfront Studio Weekly Update
British Infantry, US Tooling & Western PMCs
We know, it’s actually Tuesday.
Yesterday was a bank holiday here in the UK, which made getting the full team together rather difficult. We linked up over Zoom this morning instead and worked through everything currently on the Warfront agenda.
There’s plenty to cover, including the latest British Infantry poll results, a major milestone for our US Infantry, progress on the Western PMC kit and our new referral scheme.
Development Update
British Infantry
Our third multipart hard plastic kit is getting closer, and we’re using this stage of development to make sure we get it right.
Last week, we launched a community poll covering some of the options we intend to include in the kit. We can now share some of the early results.
Head Options Making the Cut
- Beret heads
- Helmeted heads
- Scrimmed helmet heads
The results also show a clear preference for more infantry and fewer accessories. That’s great to hear and gives us a much clearer idea of how you would like us to use the available space on the frame.
You’ve also indicated that you would prefer the anti-air launcher not to take up space in the main infantry kit. On that basis, we will likely release it as a separate model later, allowing us to dedicate more of the plastic frame to infantry and the options you’re most likely to use.
Community Choices
Support weapon: GPMG preferred over the Minimi
Sharpshooter option: L129A1 Sharpshooter Rifle
Your feedback has been incredible, so thank you to everyone who has taken the time to vote and tell us what they want from the kit.
The poll is still open. If you haven’t voted yet, you can find it on the Warfront homepage.
New Referral Programme
Give 10%, Get 10%
```Speaking of our homepage, you may have noticed a new box in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
We have launched a new referral scheme that allows you to recommend Warfront to a friend. They’ll receive 10% off their first order and, once they make a purchase, you’ll receive a code for 10% off your next order.
You can use the scheme as many times as you like, so please spread the word far and wide.
Select the referral button in the bottom-right corner to receive your personal sharing link.
Production Milestone
US Infantry Enters Tooling
The US Infantry frame has now entered tooling, marking another major milestone for our first hard plastic release.
The initial tooling work is underway, and we’re looking forward to seeing the first test shots once that stage of the process is complete.
We expect to receive more test shots than we need for our own production checks, so we’ve been discussing what we should do with the extras.
We think sending them to a selection of smaller YouTube creators would be a great way to support growing channels while introducing Warfront to new audiences.
Keep an eye on our social channels. We’ll soon be asking you to recommend smaller creators who deserve the opportunity to get their hands on the kit.
Production Update
Western PMC
The Western PMC files have now been submitted to Archon for tooling approval. We look forward to sharing more information as the kit moves through production.
We also now have the Western PMC miniatures painted by the incredibly talented Andy Singleton in hand.
We’re putting the finishing touches on the product photography and new website images, so keep an eye on the product page for the full painted unit reveal.
More to Come
```That concludes this week’s update, but work continues behind the scenes.
Our current priorities include the development of the Warfront ruleset and the next wave of resin support models. We hope to have more to share on both next week.
Thank you, as always, for following and supporting the development of Warfront.
