WARFRONT STUDIO // MONDAY MEETING

BRITISH INFANTRY: A SMALL DELAY, BIG IMPROVEMENTS & FREE MINIATURES!

British Infantry Pre-Orders, Final Masters, Free Development Miniatures & Snatch & Grab Playtesting!

It's time for another Warfront Studio update, and we've got quite a bit to talk about this week!

We've been making some important final improvements to the British Infantry, we've sent 15 miniatures off to the painter, we've got some free miniatures to give away, and we're getting incredibly close to opening up our Snatch & Grab rules for public playtesting.

Unfortunately, though, we need to start with a little bad news.

So, let's get straight into it!

01 // BRITISH INFANTRY DEVELOPMENT

FIRST, LET'S GET THE BAD NEWS OUT OF THE WAY!

We've been listening carefully to all of your feedback on our upcoming British Infantry, and one thing has become very clear: we want these miniatures to be as close to perfect as a 28mm hard-plastic kit will allow.

With that in mind, we've made a considerable number of last-minute changes to the models based on your suggestions, recommendations and feedback.

Some of these have been relatively minor improvements, while others have involved revisiting weapons, equipment and details that we thought were already finished.

And do you know what? We're genuinely delighted that we did.

We think the kit is considerably better for it, and we really hope you'll agree when you see the finished miniatures.

Unfortunately, there's a downside.

Making these changes has pushed back our schedule slightly, and our final masters have only just been sent off to the painter.

As a result, we need to make a small adjustment to our British Infantry pre-order date.

British Infantry Pre-Orders Will Now Open on 15th November!

We know this is disappointing, particularly for those of you who have been eagerly awaiting the kit, and we're sorry for the delay.

However, we've said from the beginning that we want Warfront to be a company that listens to its customers, and we intend to stick to that.

We'd much rather take a little extra time to get something right than rush out a product we're not completely happy with.

Your feedback is genuinely helping us build better miniatures, and we can't thank you enough for it.

Now, with the bad news out of the way, let's have a look at what we've actually been working on!

02 // OFF TO THE PAINTER

15 BRITISH INFANTRY MASTERS ARE ON THEIR WAY!

We've now sent 15 British Infantry miniatures off to be painted, split into three sets of five models.

Each set has been put together to showcase a different selection of weapons, poses, equipment and head options available in the kit.

Rather than just talking about them, we thought we'd show you exactly what we've sent!

Set 1 – Scrimmed Helmets & Gas Masks

British Infantry miniatures featuring scrimmed helmets, gas masks, riflemen, sniper and NLAW operator.

Our first set of five miniatures showcases a selection of riflemen and specialists, including a sniper and an NLAW operator.

These models feature our scrimmed helmet and gas mask head options, giving you a closer look at some of the more distinctive appearances you can create with the kit.

We're particularly pleased with how these head options have turned out, and we're looking forward to seeing what a talented painter can do with them.

Set 2 – Standard Helmets & Specialist Weapons

British Infantry standard helmet miniatures featuring specialist weapons and alternative arm poses.

Our second set features some of the heavier firepower available to your British Infantry.

This group includes the GPMG, NLAW and sniper rifle, alongside two of our alternative arm options: a grenade-throwing pose and a rifle held at rest.

All five miniatures feature the standard British helmet, showing how the different weapons and poses work together to create a modern infantry section.

We've made a number of improvements to these weapons throughout development, particularly the GPMG, and we're much happier with the final results.

Set 3 – Berets, Backpacks & More Options!

British Infantry beret head miniatures featuring GPMG, NLAW backpack, Signals backpack and alternative rifle poses.

Our third and final set features the beret head options, alongside another selection of weapons and equipment.

This group includes a standing GPMG gunner, additional rifle poses, an alternative rifle-holding arm, a pointing arm and our Signals backpack.

There's also something we're particularly excited about...

Yes, We Managed to Include the NLAW Backpack!

This was an item we were absolutely determined to squeeze into the kit, and we're delighted that we've managed it.

It's these little details and additional options that we're particularly excited about. We want you to be able to build a force that looks and feels like your own, rather than assembling the same handful of soldiers over and over again.

Now, Over to Andy Singleton!

Once again, all 15 miniatures are being painted by the incredibly talented Andy Singleton.

If you've seen his work on our US Infantry and Western PMC miniatures, you'll already know why we're so excited.

We can't wait to see these models brought to life, and naturally, we'll share the finished results with you as soon as we can.

03 // A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU

WHO WANTS SOME FREE BRITISH INFANTRY?

Now, onto something a little different!

As some of you may have seen on our Facebook page, we've accumulated quite a collection of British Infantry masters throughout the development and testing process.

These are earlier versions of the miniatures, and they vary quite considerably.

Some are approximately 10% larger or smaller than the intended scale, while others feature older torso designs, weapons and equipment that have since been revised or replaced.

To be absolutely clear, these are NOT representative of the finished British Infantry kit.

However, we can't quite bring ourselves to throw them away.

So rather than have them sitting around gathering dust, we thought we'd give them away!

Want One? We'll Send You One for Free!

If you'd like one of these development miniatures, simply send your postal address to andy@warfront.co.uk, and we'll send one out while stocks last.

There are just a few conditions:

  • UK addresses only, please.
  • One miniature per person.
  • Miniatures will be selected randomly from our collection of development masters.
  • First come, first served, until they're all gone.

Think of them as a little piece of Warfront's development history.

And don't worry, this isn't replacing our plans to release free sample miniatures.

We'll still be publishing our free sample STL files online and making free physical samples available in the future.

04 // SNATCH & GRAB

PUBLIC PLAYTESTING IS ALMOST HERE!

Before we wrap up, there's one more thing we're particularly excited about.

We're now incredibly close to opening up Snatch & Grab for public playtesting!

For those who haven't been following its development, Snatch & Grab is our upcoming tabletop ruleset for modern warfare, designed around fast, ruthless, objective-driven engagements.

The aim is simple: create a game that's quick to play, easy to get into, and packed with those moments where a single decision can completely change the outcome of a firefight.

We want games where every move matters, every casualty counts, and where the mission is just as important as eliminating the opposition.

And we're getting very close to the point where we can finally put the rules into your hands.

Exciting? Absolutely. Terrifying? Just a Little!

We're not going to pretend that opening up something we've written to public criticism isn't a slightly nerve-racking prospect.

There's something rather terrifying about spending time creating a ruleset, convincing yourself you've got something good, and then handing it over to the public to pull apart!

But that's exactly what playtesting is for.

We want your feedback. We want to know what works, what doesn't, what you enjoy, and what makes you want to throw the rulebook across the room.

We're not interested in pretending we've written the perfect game on the first attempt. We want to work with the community to make Snatch & Grab the best game it can be.

And importantly, while we're developing the game alongside our own range of modern miniatures, Snatch & Grab is being designed for modern warfare miniatures in general. You won't need to own Warfront models to play it.

Ultimately, we want to build something that people genuinely enjoy playing, and your feedback is going to be a huge part of making that happen.

More news on Snatch & Grab very soon!

AND THAT'S A WRAP!

Well, that's another busy week here at Warfront Studio!

It's frustrating to have to push back the British Infantry pre-order date, particularly when we're so close, but we're genuinely delighted with how the kit is shaping up.

Between the final masters heading off to the painter, giving away some of our development miniatures, and getting Snatch & Grab ready for its first public playtests, there's certainly no shortage of things happening behind the scenes.

As always, thank you to everyone who has supported Warfront, shared feedback, made suggestions and helped us get this far.

We're a small studio with some pretty big ambitions, and your support genuinely makes all the difference.

See you at the next Monday Meeting!

Thanks, as always, for being part of the journey.

Andy
